HERO OF THE WEEK : WONGALETHU MAHOTE”TWOPACK” (Animal Rescue Service)
The Jbay locals surprised a volunteer of Animal Rescue Service in Jeffrey Street when they unexpectedly walked in with not one but three hamper boxes.
Unlike the million times people walking in with a tin or bag of dog food this visit was meant for Thulasile fondly known as “Twopack”.
He has been volunteering at ARS for 2 years and had built up an impressive work track record that includes bathing, grooming and administering rabies shots of pets in the shop and off site.
Thulasile is from Ocean View and is partially deaf. This however has not stopped this pleasant man from being Jbay’s Hero of the week. The hamper consists of R1,200 worth of groceries and a cash of R300 and was co-ordinated by Carine White. Bryan Dhludhlu was on hand to capture the image. Well done Twopack.
