Jeffreys Bay Heritage Day 2020

Jeffreys Bay Online will be hosting the Heritage Day program with Kouga Municipality in what appears to be a first on many levels.

A opening ceremony is planned that starts with a Flag hoist and National Anthem on the Main Beach front promenade on Thursday 24 September 2020 at 08:00 A Guard of Honor will be formed up during this opening and will then move to the amphitheater for the remainder of the Opening Ceremony that includes:

  • Scriptures & Prayers
  • Inspection of the Guard
  • Opening Speech by Mayoral Council member
  • One Min Silence
  • Reading of the Lyrics
  • Flame Boys opening dance display
  • Jerusalema Dance off competition
  • Hand over of Donation
  • Prize Giving
  • Closing Mass Dance

Proceedings will move to Fountains Mall Outside area for a Braai Competition at 1300.

The public is invited to enter in the following categories:

  • Open category : 10-20. 20-40., 40-60, 60 and over (free entry)
  • Schools (R250 entry fee)
  • Organisations (R250 entry fee)
  • Business (R500 entry Fee)

    All proceeds to appointed Charities on the day.
